Fastback Beach

Fastback Beach by Shirlee Smith Matheson is a book about a teen named Miles. The book starts out with him and his friends Larry and Spider take out a stolen car. They get in a major accident and Miles has to put 100 hours of community service and he is put on probation. Miles did not tell the police about Larry and Spider and how they were also involved. In the local community association, Mr. Barnier (the association president) has a love for cars as well and has a car for miles to work on in his garage.
